On the second night of our trip, we traveled to the historic town of Seaview and stayed at the Shelburne Hotel. You may remember I wrote about our ghost experience in this same hotel last year, and so we were eager to return. Although I’m certain I felt someone gently pressing me down in the clawfoot bathtub, this time our experience was mostly restful.
For me, the beauty of staying at the longest continuously operating hotel in Washington State is the interesting light fixtures and the way the hotel makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. I hope you’ll consider staying here if you ever find yourself in the area. Let me know if you have a favorite photo or if something stands out for you. Thanks!

Very beautiful photos, Bridgette, I can’t pick a favorite! I would avoid a hotel known to be haunted. 💀👻🤭

Thanks! We love old places and “gently” haunted doesn’t bother me. I’d be scared if something big happened.

Do you mean something like the sheets being torn off of the bed while you sleep? I’ve watched a lot of those spooky TV shows.

Exactly like that! I would not have liked that at all.

The bathtub and glassware stand out to me, however they are all fantastic, as you do! They do have a certain vibe. I wish I had photos from a haunted hotel I stayed at in Bisbee. A spooky experience!

I wish you did too! That sounds incredible. We stayed at a second haunted hotel in Seattle and actuality had a pretty crazy experience. I’ll be writing about it soon. Travel provides so many amazing stories.

A good gallery of lights Bridgette. The bathtub and the last set of stairs are my favourites 😀

Those are my favorites too. It’s really a beautiful place. When we left in the morning there was nobody to check us out. They actually just lock the front door and give you a key so you can leave and come back in the night if you need to. It’s kind of creepy.

On a much smaller scale, but totally! We stayed in a hotel in Seattle called the Sorrento and it felt very much like it. I’ll be sharing more about that experience soon.

#3!! Those light fixtures are lovely, and they remind me of some we had in our house as a kid.

It really is! This was our second time staying and it was just as incredible. Although next visit we may try this place we saw leaving where you sleep in an old VW converted bus by the ocean. They looked pretty adorable!
