I spent an evening at the lake with my daughter and her best friend. We swam in the murky water with ducks and seagulls. A beautiful crane watched us from afar as the sky turned gold. While I search for balance in my life, I’m still creating. For now, that’s enough. Let me know if you have a favorite photo and thank you for all the love and support you continue to show me.
“‘YOU are the big drop of dew under the lotus leaf,
I am the smaller one on its upper side,’
said the dewdrop to the lake.”—Rabindranath Tagore

These photos were taken with an Olympus OM-D and edited with ON1 Photo RAW. Here’s a bonus selfie photo taken with my cellphone.

Good photos and nice place to spend the day.

Thank you so much! Yes, I often forget how healing nature is until I go outside and soak it in. All these bird friends sure do help.

Wasn’t that duck hilarious? I just love how silly birds can be. Thank you, John. Things have been rough lately, but the lake knows just what to say to make it all better 🙂

Amazing. There is a little story that reveals itself moving through this series of images. Actually, one could literally add image by image story text to all of these like a children’s story book might do. Is there a storyteller around here somewhere?
And you know well which is my favorite single image here.

#7 is my favorite. Cranes sure have long necks – we don’t have them in New Zealand, so this is the first time I have seen one. Thanks for sharing Bridgette.

Oh, I didn’t realize they were native to the United States. They are my favorite bird because they look so much like a dinosaur with that long neck. Glad I could share them with you.
