“I am a tiny seashell
that has secretly drifted ashore
and carries the sound of the ocean
surging through its body.”
βEdward Hirsch
Sometimes a place can be familiar to you but still hold secrets. People are like this too. I look for what is true. What is real. That’s where magic lives.
On this beach trip, the ocean was angry. It pounded the shore and never receded enough to reveal the tide pools. The beauty took my breath away. Come with me.

Love number 8. Reminds me of something. But they are all very beautiful.

Is that something have to do with Alice and a white rabbit? π The house I stay in has a trail that leads to the beach and you enter through that tunnel of cypress trees. It’s one of my favorite things.

1 and 8 look like a transport into another world. The framing is magic.

Thank you! #8 is the spot I enter the beach and it always feels like magic to me. Climbing through that tunnel is like entering another world that’s suddenly so much brighter and louder. It can be overwhelming.

Number one is beautifully framed! Number eight is also framed beautifully and looks like a great place to party. β€οΈπ

Thanks, John. #8 is the place I always enter the beach and you have to lean pretty low, almost crawl through it depending on how tall you are. It’s one of my favorite places.

Thanks! I didn’t realize until I edited the photos that the surfer was staring at me. I wonder if he was annoyed I was taking his photo or liked the attention?

Worry not, sweet lady. He is part of your nature photo. You captured a moment. His presence was a that of angle-righter πβTis all, me thinks.
It is indeed lovely with him in it! ππ½ a great Nature moment.

Bridge, allow me a technical question. Do you keep all these photos in your WordPress Media File after posting them? Or do you remove after posting. (Does removing do something to the blog post?)
You must have more than 1K photos.
Somehow, I just passed 1K too but I
Started having a disorganized media file. Jetpack suggested a media manager plugin. Do you have one? Please tell me which. Thanks, Bridgette dear. Blessings.

I donβt delete them and Iβve never had a problemβ¦yet. I know these photos are big and I suspect I might have an issue at some point. Maybe itβs because I pay for the ad-free hosting that I perhaps have more leeway? I donβt really know. And no, I donβt use a plug in.

Oh my gosh! No plugin?
And I bet your photos in the media library populate in the exact order you add them. Meaning, they donβt skip around and make a mess of themselves so you canβt find them.
I had a big fallout on my website recently after I disabled the Elementor plugin. I lost a banner from that fallout and now the media file is acting out.
Bridgette. Thanks for responding. I will deal with it.
Is it safe to say that you (such an accomplished photographer that you are) have over ONE THOUSAND photos in your file? Xoxo

I like rough seas. I wrote poems about the temerity of rough seas and how it invigorates me when Iβm drowning in my poetry collection.
Also about almost dying of exuberance once scuba π€Ώ diving
Also I named that babe Aqua MarinaβI like her in all her magnificent phases but especially when sheβs expressing like in yours.
Thanks, Bridgette. Blessings.

All beautiful, but I love #6 & 9 with their contrasting images, powerful in strength that should be respected and profound in the ocean’s soothing abilities. π

Yes! I was astounded at how wild the waves were and how many rocks it deposited on the sand. At the same time, when the waves pulled back there were moments of calm. The ocean is an incredible teacher.
