The bright morning moon gave way to an evening of wildflowers. I hear my wise poet friend whisper from across the fields, “feelings always seem the biggest from the inside of them.” The sun warms my skin and summer calls. It sounds like forgiveness.
“a flower knows, when its butterfly will return,
and if the moon walks out, the sky will understand;
but now it hurts, to watch you leave so soon,
when I don’t know, if you will ever come back.”
—Sanober Khan

The fifth full moon of the year arrived with a bright golden morning moon. I stood on the street and marveled at how impossibly big it looked. I couldn’t quite capture the beauty, and because May brings the flower moon, I went out at sunset yesterday to gather wildflower photos to share with you. Let me know if you have a favorite.
These photos were taken with an Olympus OM-D and edited with ON1 Photo RAW.
All beautiful photos, Bridgette, numbers 4 and 5 are exceptional! ❤️😍

Thank you so much, John! I was a bit disappointed my moon shots didn’t turn out, so I turned to wildflowers at sunset instead. They didn’t disappoint.

I love all your photos, Bridgette, especially the one with no number, the opening shot! It is yours? I have to admit that I have little understanding of the cycles of the moon; today’s post will help me learn 🤗🌹🙋♂️

All the photos on my blog are mine. I’m glad you liked that first photo, it’s one of my favorites too. Although it’s technically a weed, I think it’s beautiful. I don’t have much information about the cycles of the moon here, but I’ve tasked myself with photographing each full moon this year in an attempt at getting better at it. Not sure I’m improving, but I’m very much enjoying taking time out to recognize and view the full moon.

First image so exceptional you could’a called it good and done. Seems to contain some royalty unseen which it only allows being shyly present. The light is brilliant, both for what’s given and what’s held out of sight.
One, has deep charm. Two, is one part dream. Four, wonders what plants discuss when we’re not around. Seven, who’d guess dim and colors go together, but they do. They make me feel brave when I’m afraid. Nine, oh yes, my California, steady lanterns aglow. And eleven, who don’t like rodents in a tree?
There is a whole language hidden here. Beautiful.

I loved 4,5, 6 and 10. Then again, I love sunsets. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a purple or golden sunset. There’s something about them that makes me wistful. Beautiful photography.

Thank you. I almost didn’t use #5 because it’s not flowers or the moon, but I’m glad I did. Happy you liked that pesky squirrel too. It’s a good thing it’s so cute!

I think they’re never far away but are only ever seen by chance and by those who are especially receptive to them, on the same wavelength. Thank you Bridgette, I’ve never been better – I’m very fortunate.
