You needed to see the sunset because the world felt too chaotic. We spent two nights together watching the sky become gold and then black. I couldn’t erase the pain behind your eyes, but I could remind you what was in the sky. It’s always there for you, as I am.
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
—Rabindranath Tagore

- This is dedicated to my daughter’s best friend. Believe in yourself always, dearest. The sunset will always ground you as the ocean inspires you. I believe in you.
- Photos were taken with an Olympus OM-D and edited with ON1 Photo RAW.
Bridgette, you have a fantastic eye for photography, your work is very beautiful! I hope that you will decide to focus on photography and that perhaps you could make some money selling your work. Have a great weekend my friend! 🙏🏻😊

You are so kind, John! I’ve actually been considering entering a few contests or maybe selling some prints at the local farmer’s market. I love photography so much. I’m my happiest with a camera in my hand.

As a fellow photographer, I encourage you to go for it, Bridgette! I’ve never done this myself but my daughter back home in Michigan has encouraged me to sell my work. I think it’s a lack of self-confidence on my part…

I have the same problem, but why not? If I could bring in a little money for my family doing what I love, that’s kind of the best thing ever.

Thank you so much. I love reflections and the water was really beautiful right before sunset. I resisted the urge to jump in, but I really wanted to.

Glad you like them! The trail beside the river is FULL of them. Busy, little spiders.

Spiders here very busy as well! : ) The trick is to get the focus right… which you did.

All so great, Bridgette, but I really love the silhouette in #13. The bridge is almost an afterthought and not overwhelming the scene. Nicely done! 🌉

Thanks! I love how trees frame a shot. It was a lovely evening to be out by the water.

I’m so happy you liked so many of these. It’s amazing what using a new camera will do for your view. I’m going to have to mix up my use of cameras more often now.

Interesting is too small a word. One of these wants to make some words. Can’t yet say much more than that. Is it more exciting if I don’t even say which one yet. As a parent might say, “I am expectant.” Grace leaves it alone.
Thank you Bridgette for this opportunity. You give me so much, you do.

I am excited to see which one of these spoke words to you. I’m equally excited to read those words. Thank you for always inspiring me.

Thank you my friend for always making love more visible.

That might be my favorite too. Cobwebs and golden sunlight go together perfectly. The only thing I might like better is if it was covered in tiny raindrops as well. Oh, that would be the best!
