Misunderstanding

June 18, 2024 by Bridgette

poetry: dissection

lay my words upon
old wooden tables
end to end

heart to throat
throat to stomach
stomach to feet

syllables to defend against
sounds to sound against
compounds to pound against

sunburst me
into silence
until my words rest
