Take a trip with me to the iconic city of San Francisco. We will stroll the Ferry Building, visit Fisherman’s Wharf, and spend a fair amount of time in Chinatown. Will finish our evening beside the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. Let me know if you have a favorite image.
“In San Francisco—life goes on. Hope rises and dreams flicker and die. Love plans for tomorrow and loneliness thinks of yesterday. Life is beautiful and living is pain. The sound of music floats down a dark street. A young girl looks out a window and wishes she were married. A drunk sleeps under a bridge. It is tomorrow.”
—Hunter S. Thompson

These photos were taken with an Olympus OM-D and edited with ON1 Photo RAW. Here’s a bonus selfie photo taken with my cellphone.

Beautiful pictures but I don’t remember there being a ferris wheel in San Francisco. Where was that taken at?

Hi! The 150-foot-tall ferris wheel actually used to be located in Golden Gate park, but it moved in November of last year to Fisherman’s Wharf. The tickets are pricey!

Thank you for joining me and I’m glad those pictures stood out to you. That seagull was slowly slipping off the rail and I think he was quite embarrassed I was photographing him. The tunnel photo was one of my favorites too.

Bridgette what a very nice selection of photos 😊 number 19, the foreground shows the beauty of nature, and the background shows the beauty of man-made architecture. Thanks for sharing 🙏 enjoy your weekend 😄 regards to your family ❤️

Thank you so much! That was one of my favorite shots too. I had to pull off the road to frame it just right, but I’m so glad I did.

#10 – that dude’s got attitude! #22 – the light has turned the bridge into copper! Great batch of shots, Bridgette!

That seagull was slowly slipping down the rail and I don’t think he approved of me taking photo. Glad you liked #22. The bridge is so pretty at night!

The Golden Gate is a truly gorgeous sight! 🌉
Gulls are ballsy creatures! Watching them strut their stuff daring you to shoo them away, I’m reminded of the old time actor Edward G. Robinson who usually played gangsters. All that bird needs is a short, fat cigar in the corner of its bill! 😂 🦤

I like every photo, Bridgette, I’ve never been to San Francisco.
The name reminds me of an old TV ad for rice, Rice-A-Roni, the San Francisco treat!
The Ferry Building really interests me because it made it through the 1906 earthquake, wow!

I’ve been to San Francisco many times but this was my first time in the ferry building. I was there to visit the Book Passage bookstore and was really fascinated by the building. But, oh boy, was it crowded!

Oooh crowds! I have seen that old video taken not long before the earthquake, very sad and very fascinating.

I like the bird n the tracks.

That was one of my favorites too. I wished the bird would have turned its head in my direction, but there was something so sweet about seeing it nesting in the broken tracks. Nature reclaiming the space, I suppose.
