I’ve been pulled in so many different directions lately it felt good to sit down and write poetry again. I’m happy you left me such a kind comment. Thank you!
Thank you! Yes, I’m very sporadic with my blog these days. I think I’ve reached a bit of a burnout phase. I’m examining what that means and how to move forward, but for now it’s probably going to be this way.
I really do hope you come out in the spring. I’d love to buy you that coffee.
I’ve said this before, but I really do hope you collect your poems and publish them in a book sometime. Your poetry is very good, better than a lot of the stuff I’ve seen in The New Yorker and other big-name journals. I look forward to seeing more of this. 🙂
Wonderful to read you writing again. I know what it takes to cross that threshold and give language how you feel. I am happy for you Bridgette.
Lovely poem.

Lovely, Bridgette. Nice to see your presence again after a spell.
Looks like my workplace might be interested in sending me out in your direction with or without the client’s buy in sometime next spring.
Gotto see if there’s budget, but I might have to hit you up for that coffee after all 🙂

Still on the agenda, just not sure about the when. I’ll reach out.
I understand the burnout. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, if only to “listen”.

I love these lines – the contrast, the tension, the persistence…
Wonderfully written!

Awww, thanks! I’ve not been writing much poetry lately as life as been crazy, but I’m glad this one spoke to you.
