wOW to numbers 5, 6, & 8! Those are such great captures! And the poem is phenomenal as well!

Thank you VJ. I’ve been rereading some Lewis Carroll poems and I think I got lost in that playful rhythm he did so effortlessly.

Great vivid descriptions! Can feel the humidity soaked in every line. 🙂 3 and 5 are both lovely crisp snapshots ❤

So glad you liked both the poem and the photos, Tom. I almost didn’t include all the photos because some aren’t sharp, but it felt like it fit this rainy day. Not all things are easily in focus.

Thank you. I suppose I was channeling you with my word play here. I find your work to be so inspiring, even if I haven’t visited in awhile.

I noticed the fun you were having with the wordplay. Word mashups can bring a whole different feel than using the words separately.
Thank you for saying so Bridgette. I understand where you are at, if not the context — we all have to take care of ourselves first. The writing will still be there if and when you decide to drop by. No rush, pressure or worries. ❤

Thanks Michael. Yes, it was fun to play around with combining sounds and creating a different rhythm. You make it look effortless.
I’m trying hard to self-publish my short story collection while also doing all the other things my life demands, but I will stop by soon. I miss your writing and I’m glad it will be waiting for me to binge soon.

Thank you for the kind comment and the love. These are all in my wild backyard and maybe I was feeling a sense of nostalgia when I took them. It’s easy to wish for simpler times when my kids were small and we had nothing more to do than count the raindrops on the branches and search for snails. Hope you are well.

I’m amazed at how raindrops line up along a branch to create little masterpieces. I’ve missed the rain.

I like the poem with its creative use of compounding words. Plus, it rhymes! So few do anymore. Photos: all the drippy ones!

I love the drippy ones too! I rarely rhyme in poems but I’ve been rereading some old Lewis Carroll poems and felt inspired to play with sounds and combined words. Glad it worked for you.
