Photography: Morning Hike

This morning after dropping the kids off at school, I took a nature hike by my house. It was a beautiful, peaceful morning and I was greeted by lots of little critters. I saw geese, butterflies, lizards, birds, and dragonflies. Although most were either too far away to capture or moved too quickly, it was a nice morning and a great way to start off my week.

This last photo was a surprise. It wasn’t until it was downloaded that I discovered I’d captured a frog. I love its little wet hopping prints. I wish it was a bit more in focus, but I wanted to share it anyway because it was a happy surprise.

  18. These images are SO beautiful and your editing is coming along perfectly. While playing with editing… YouTube a phlearn video on how to use layers and layer masks in Photoshop… Then play around with alternating between warm and cool tones. Do this and you’ll see massive improvements in what you’re able to achieve.

  20. You have such a good eye for a strong composition, Bridgette. Love all these shots. My favourites are the second one (cool blue tones with the trees silhouette) and the last one with the frog. I love the lines and the accent of green in the corner.

  25. Hi Bridgette 👋 thank you for visiting my blog. Very glad you enjoyed it. I love your photo work. In this series I am fascinated by the black&white one with the wire and whar I think are some silhouettes of people, very symbolic in a way…to me symbolic of an unfree section of humankind.

    • Thank you so much. I’m glad you liked my photos. That black and white photo is of a crumbling wall but I can totallly see how it looks like people and could represent those being behind bars or held back by any kind of system of oppression.
