poetry: follow me

you’ve been here before
i’ve seen you
hiding behind the stones
hands filled with shells
feet covered in sand
laughing with the wind
our shadows danced
two merging into one
a forgotten fish
a billion bubbles blinking
small words made clear
you’ve been here before
i’ve seen you
stay

  1. Hello Bridgette

you always surprise me with the way you use words in the poetry you write, making the reader’s imagination wander. This one reminds me of a person sitting on a beach, remembering their childhood likened to a peter pan charater enjoying not only the fear but love of life.☺️ enjoy your weekend regards to all

    Terry 😊
