don’t argue a thorn
demanding it soften
deny its embedding nature
to turn inward upon itself
don’t ask it to grow
outward like pinecone
easier to hold onto
a seed just for you
don’t order it bloom
grow petals like daisy
delicate sweetness in a jar
your own summer sunshine
no
let it spread
drop
unapologetic
seeding itself
exactly where it lands

So glad! I could totally see how kittens can be thorns 🙂 I hope they are settling in nicely.

This is actually the least amount of scratches I’ve ever received from a single kitten, let alone two. They are very careful with their claws and teeth. 🙂

Hi, Greg! I’m glad you liked this one. It’s so important to learn to be ourselves and take up all the space.

I love how your thorn refuses to become something softer for anyone, spreading freely and taking root exactly as it is!
