52 Photo Challenge: Week 22-Food

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”—J.R.R. Tolkien

This week my assignment for the 52 photo challenge was to capture food. It was a busy week celebrating my son graduating from high school, but I did sneak away yesterday to the Carmichael Farmer’s Market. I’m not in love with any of these shots, but I did enjoy spending some time alone and stocking up on my summer favorites.

I’ve been in a funk and stuck in my feelings. I’m extremely behind in reading blogs and responding to comments. Please be patient with me. I’m doing what I can to move through this and hopefully, I’ll be back to myself soon. In the meantime, I think WordPress might have glitched on my photography post for last week. If you missed it, you can find it here: Week 21: Shadow. As always, let me know if you have a favorite. Have a fantastic week!

  1. Congratulations to your son, Bridgette! He is at the beginning of the journey. I like the mushroom photo best with its odd-looking underside. The most flavorful post I will read all day! Have a great week, Bridgette! 😎❤️

  2. Ok, Ok. Ok, you caught my interest with that very first unlikely candidate all stacked upon themselves. Then toss that away because here’s bold red fruit, pastel eggs, hybrids I think, mushrooms made to be adored, more of everything imaginable. And oh, artichokes – ever seen one of those go to bloom & seed? A fairytale plant. But please, what’s my favorite?

I guessed. Did you? Yep, numbers are never enough – my favorite is you and your son. Handsome fellow he is. You too.

    • Thanks so much for the kind words! Your comments always leave me smiling. And yes, I’ve seen artichokes go to seed and they are fantastical. They look otherwordly. 🙂

  4. I haven’t been to a farmer’s market in a long time… mostly because it’s hard shopping for fresh produce when I live alone and most of it goes bad quickly, plus I don’t eat as healthy as I should… but still.
