52 Photo Challenge: Week 28-Low Perspective

“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
—Frances Hodgson BurnettThe Secret Garden

This week my assignment for the 52 photo challenge was to explore low perspective. I had intended to find interesting shots at WorldFest this weekend, but they changed their policy and I wasn’t allowed to bring my camera in. This turned out to be a blessing, which I will write about later this week, but it meant my challenge photos had to wait until this morning.

Most of these shots are from my yard a little after sunrise. While these photos are somewhat similar to the ones I took in Week 20 for Unique Perspective, I hope you will find something new to enjoy here. Let me know if you have a favorite and have a fantastic week.

After looking down for so long, I had to look up. The darkness on the right makes it look a bit like the view of Earth from space.

  1. Might I stir the soup? [header] like waking up to first sight, what is… oh, don’t matter, beautiful beautiful, [1] just me, just open, just golden, glorious, the bible says, [2] go ahead, take my breath away, beginning and ending, we all can see, maybe I feel a little sad, it’s alright, it’s life, [3] see, I’m already halfway homme (my new word for the day that I made up all by myself) and right next door to the river Somme in France, I’m happy again, nearer to, [4] no shame, how beautiful you see our world, and I’ll stand close so I can see the way you see too, [6] yep, a busy day it is, pardon me, I’m going to the sky, [7] oh no, don’t sneeze, or maybe, yes, please, go ahead and I’ll be everywhere, here, there, and right next to…, [9] my little lantern to light color into the day, [last] and you’re right, you are in space, just from the bottom-side up to blue heaven in your eyes. all glad not being blind. although I wonder, how does a blind person see? (you know… I can’t leave well enough alone) ❤️ otherwise known as kitten days.

  2. Beautiful photos especially for me No.6. This time of year is just so full of life as we are too! Placing the blue planet photo at the end was a special thought. 🤗💓🙋‍♂️

    • Thank you for such kind words! I love the curling vines of my pumpkin plants. They bring me such joy! That sky shot was such a happy moment. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the sky look so much like Earth itself. A mirror.

  3. Dear Bridgette, I’m sorry I’m late commenting and more so that I’ve missed some of your recent posts, too, which is unusual for me. I just haven’t been in the best place for a while and have found it very difficult to concentrate and comment on everybody’s work. Aside from that, I love your low-perspective photos. I have three favourites among them. Photo number #4 gives me hope – an unusual perspective perhaps, but it reminds me that even though plants (and people’s hearts) wither, next to them is new life dawning. The flowers at their different stages in that photo mean that to me. I also like #6 because of the intricacies of the delicate tendrils and the soft hairs on the plant. Finally, I also like #10 because I’m intrigued to know what is in the rest of that room, what secrets it holds etc. And, of course, the photo of that sky is just spectacular. What a gorgeous, vivid colour and I can see all sorts of shapes in the clouds. Thank you for sharing these, my friend. I do hope you are feeling better and that you and your lovely family are well. Much love ~ Ellie Xxx 🌷💛🌹

    • Thank you Ellie! I’ve missed you. I’m playing catch-up myself and will be stopping by your blog today. I’m so glad you like these photos. #10 is my house and I so wish you could pop in for tea. Much love to you too!

  4. Beautiful work…all your low ones look like they could be in the movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! That last photo of ‘up’ is absolutely stunning! It does look other worldly 💞💞💞
